The Micro and Small Enterprises Authority (MSEA) has officially initiated a training program aimed at entrepreneurs to enhance their business operations and support economic advancement. This initiative, known as the Kenya Jobs and Economic Transformation (KJET) project, focuses on 94 business groups throughout Kenya.

The initial phase of training commenced on November 10, 2025, and is being conducted in 10 counties at the start, with plans to expand to all 47 counties within the next five weeks. The primary goal is to improve production and growth within the Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) sector. Through 12 modules, participants will develop practical skills to boost productivity, enhance competitiveness, and access new markets.

The sessions incorporate exercises, real-life examples, and group activities led by specialized trainers. During the launch event in Nairobi, MSEA's Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Henry Rithaa, stated: "The project aims to strengthen MSMEs to become engines of innovation, jobs, and inclusive economic growth."

Following the first phase, the groups will proceed to a second phase involving three months of additional training and hands-on advisory support from experts to facilitate the implementation of learned concepts. This program is expected to provide vital assistance to small-scale entrepreneurs in expanding their ventures and contributing to Kenya's overall economic development.
