Oilers acquire Devon Levi and draft pick from Sabres

The Edmonton Oilers have acquired goaltender Devon Levi and a seventh-round pick in the 2028 NHL Draft from the Buffalo Sabres. The deal sends a third-round selection in the same draft to Buffalo in return.

Levi appeared in 52 games for the Rochester Americans during the 2025-26 season. He led the American Hockey League with 3,029 minutes played and finished with a 23-20-9 record, a 2.83 goals-against average, a .904 save percentage and three shutouts.

Over three seasons with the Americans, Levi has played 120 games and posted a 64-39-17 record with a 2.52 goals-against average, a .914 save percentage and 10 shutouts. He was chosen for the AHL All-Star Classic in 2025.

Originally drafted by the Florida Panthers in the seventh round of the 2020 NHL Draft, Levi has recorded a 17-17-2 mark with a 3.29 goals-against average and an .894 save percentage in 39 NHL appearances for the Sabres.
