Örebro Hockey has submitted a substantial offer to bring back forward Rodrigo Abols according to reports. The 30-year-old Latvian player appears focused on other options for next season.
Örebro Hockey wants to sign Rodrigo Abols and has placed a very high bid on the player per sources cited by local media. Despite the offer Abols is not inclined to return to the SHL at this stage.
The forward left Örebro after a successful stint in 2023 and later played in the NHL with the Philadelphia Flyers after time with Rögle. His contract has now expired.
Abols dealt with injury issues during the past winter yet continues to attract interest from clubs. Reports indicate he prioritizes a return to North America or alternatively a move to Switzerland.
