Police in South Jakarta are investigating an alleged indecent act by a young couple in an online taxi on February 10, 2026. The incident went viral on social media after the driver posted dashcam footage showing the passengers ignoring his scolding. Authorities are now pursuing the couple's identities in coordination with the driver.
The incident took place in Cipulir, Kebayoran Lama, South Jakarta, on the night of Tuesday, February 10, 2026. An online taxi driver felt uncomfortable with the passengers' alleged indecent behavior inside his vehicle. In dashcam footage posted to Instagram @azmirahmatzz, the couple appeared indifferent despite being scolded, even lying down on the passenger seat. The driver raised his voice until the passengers apologized.
The driver wrote in his post: “Lagi kena apes pada 10 Februari 2026. Ada Gen Z pesan Gocar masuk ke aplikasi. Kalau 'driver' perkosa penumpang pasti langsung ramai berita. Tapi kalau penumpang mesum di mobil kita, gimana ini jek/paman?”
On Thursday, February 12, 2026, Kebayoran Lama Police Chief Kompol Muhammad Kukuh Islami stated that his team is pursuing the case. “Kami nanti lakukan penyelidikan terlebih dahulu, terutama kami nanti akan cari tahu siapa sopir mobil ini,” he said. Islami added that due to the dark location, the perpetrators' identities remain unconfirmed. He directed the Criminal Investigation Unit to locate the driver to uncover the young couple's details through further coordination.
