Samarjeetsinh Ghatge regresa al BJP tras abandonar el NCP-SP

Samarjeetsinh Ghatge, miembro de la familia real de Kolhapur, se reincorporó al BJP el 8 de abril de 2026, tras haber dejado el NCP (SP), liderado por Sharad Pawar. Samarjeetsinh Ghatge se reincorporó al BJP el miércoles en Bombay, durante una ceremonia de adhesión a la que asistieron el presidente estatal, Ravindra Chavan, y el ministro de Educación Superior y Técnica, Chandrakant Patil.

"El ministro principal Devendra Fadnavis es como un hermano para mí. Me uní al BJP con el objetivo de fortalecer al partido en el oeste de Maharashtra, centrándome en el sector cooperativo", afirmó Ghatge.

Este supone su segundo periodo en el BJP. Abandonó el partido antes de las elecciones a la Asamblea Legislativa de Maharashtra de noviembre de 2024 tras no recibir la candidatura por el distrito electoral de Kagal, en el distrito de Kolhapur, y se unió al NCP (SP).

Sobre su salida del NCP (SP), Ghatge declaró: "Antes de unirme al BJP, le expliqué mi postura a Sharad Pawar. Tomé la decisión de renunciar en noviembre de 2025 y aquí estamos. Ahora estamos en el BJP y haremos lo que el partido dicte".
