The Ethiopian Islamic Affairs Supreme Council announced on Ketit 26, 2018 (Fana Media Corporation), corresponding to March 5, 2026, that the sixth national iftar will be held in Meskel Square, Addis Ababa. This initiative, guided by the concept 'Nejashi Le Hager,' incorporates Islamic principles and seeks to foster national unity.

Ustaz Abubeker, head of the Supreme Council's president's office, stated that the iftar system highlights Islamic values and promotes communal harmony. The event is set to take place across the country on the same day, reinforcing Ethiopia's dedication to Islam through tolerant and inviting approaches.

Significant projects are planned for the occasion, with participants urged to uphold Islamic conduct and respect the sanctity of Ramadan. Ustaz Abubeker called upon the Muslim community to actively join the project.

The initiative is organized in partnership with the Ethiopian Islamic Affairs Supreme Council and the Ethiopian Muslim Youth Council.
