TSV Altenholz's women's handball team came back from a halftime deficit to beat TSV Nord Harrislee 26:22 (10:12) in the HVSH-Pokal semi-final, advancing to the final against SV Henstedt-Ulzburg in early May in Mölln.
In Harrislee, TSV Altenholz fought back from a 10:12 halftime deficit. Before 121 spectators in the Holmberghalle, the team turned the score from 10:14 (32nd minute) to 17:14 (45th minute) within twelve minutes after a restart. Seven goals from Jenny Janczek and 19 saves by goalkeeper Leona Weidmann made the difference. Altenholz scored 26 goals with 25 missed throws overall, while Nord Harrislee could not recover. Coach Henning Berger praised the performance: “Man merkt schon, dass einige Spielerinnen langsam emotional werden” and “Wir haben 60 Minuten lang eine geile Deckung gespielt”. Goalkeepers Glaser (1 save) and Weidmann (19 saves) secured the win. Goals: Janczek 7, Burmeister and Molge 6 each, Hewig 4/1, Seidel 3, Kuchel 3, Miegel 1, Thielmann 1, Orzol 1/1. This was the last game together for some TSVA players. The final will be in early May in Mölln.
