GRAMMY-winning artist Yungblud has announced the release of Idols II, the sequel to his acclaimed Idols album, set for digital streaming on February 20, 2026. The project includes six new songs and a collaborative track with The Smashing Pumpkins. Yungblud described it as a continuation of his personal journey toward survival and renewal.
Yungblud, whose real name is Dominic Harrison, surprised fans with the announcement of Idols II on February 19, 2026, after months of teasing. The album builds on the success of the original Idols, which Harrison has called a way to reclaim his identity during a low point in his life. In a statement, he explained, “This is it — the second chapter of the Idols story. Part 1 helped me reclaim who I was at the lowest point of my life. Part 2 is about recognising that I survived it. It’s about feeling alive, feeling real, and understanding that you can become invincible when you finally feel yourself. It’s realising my heart’s still beating and my lungs are still filling with air.”
Idols II features six new tracks alongside a special version of the GRAMMY-nominated song “Zombie” featuring The Smashing Pumpkins. The tracklist includes: 1. I Need You (To Make The World Seem Fine), 2. The Postman, 3. Zombie (feat. The Smashing Pumpkins), 4. Time, 5. War Part II, 6. Blueberry Hill, and 7. Suburban Requiem. The lead single, “Suburban Requiem,” will debut with a visualiser on February 20. Harrison has described the sequel as more introspective and cynical than its predecessor, marking the end of this chapter in his discography.
Physical editions, including vinyls and CDs, will be available later in 2026 through Yungblud’s official store. A complete edition compiling all 19 tracks from both Idols and Idols II will also be offered as a 180g 2LP and CD, alongside a silver-transparent vinyl for Idols II with new artwork. Pre-orders for vinyls and CDs are already open.
In related news, Harrison is preparing for the second leg of his Idols World Tour this spring, with all shows sold out. He recently hinted at a potential collaboration with Pearl Jam frontman Eddie Vedder, citing him as a vocal influence. The two were photographed together in December 2025 at New York’s Capitol Theatre during a performance with Slash’s band The Dirty Bats, alongside artists like Anthony Kiedis, Bruno Mars, and Brandi Carlile.
