Alleged Unpad professor sends inappropriate messages to exchange student

A viral social media post shows alleged unethical conversations between a Universitas Padjadjaran (Unpad) professor in Bandung and a foreign exchange student. The messages include requests for bikini photos and suggestions to drink brandy to ease academic stress. The victim rejected them and reported to the campus.

Social media buzzed with a post from X account @draftanakunpad4 showing screenshots of alleged conversations between a Unpad professor and an exchange student. The issue surfaced on April 16, 2026, and quickly went viral.

In the messages, the individual requested, "I need your photo, When Swim in the Phuket beach, wearing bikini." The student firmly rejected it, stating she would not share such personal photos.

Communication persisted despite rejection. The sender reportedly said, "I miss you, how are you?" and "I am still waiting your bikini style," while suggesting, "Yes, please drink more Brandy and then swim, this is saturday night, better to fly. All academic stressful task would go out."

The victim blocked the sender's Instagram account while in Indonesia and reported the matter to campus authorities via a lecturer, providing conversation evidence. The actions drew public condemnation as unethical for a senior academic.
