Isack Hadjar described his qualifying lap as disappointing despite finishing just 0.028 seconds behind Max Verstappen at the Canadian Grand Prix.
Hadjar secured seventh place on the grid in Montreal, marking his strongest result since the season opener in Melbourne. He had set the fastest time in Q2, beating Verstappen by 0.504 seconds, but only improved by 0.040 seconds in Q3. The French driver told Canal+ that he had a “shitty lap” and felt “very upset” after strong earlier sessions, though he was 0.357 seconds off pole, his closest margin yet.
