Milwaukee Brewers pitcher Jacob Misiorowski encountered a young fan at a card shop and bought him a box of trading cards. The seven-year-old pulled a Misiorowski card from the pack, which the player then signed.
Seven-year-old Aaron Shorey and his father Ryan visited a Milwaukee-area card shop on the Friday of Memorial Day weekend. They spotted the 6-foot-7 Misiorowski inside the store. Misiorowski agreed to buy the box of cards after the Shoreys asked if Aaron could open packs in front of him. Aaron pulled a card featuring the pitcher. Getting to rip the pack and pull myself out of the pack, and then signing in front of him, it was pretty cool, Misiorowski told TMJ4. Ryan Shorey noted that Misiorowski treated his son like the star of the moment and was not in a rush. Misiorowski, who grew up in suburban Kansas City, has long collected trading cards and is known among Brewers fans for visiting shops during team travel.
