Kim Hyo-joo pursues second LPGA major title at Evian Championship

Kim Hyo-joo will pursue her second LPGA major title this week at the Amundi Evian Championship in France.

Kim Hyo-joo won the 2014 Evian Championship at age 19. The event runs from Thursday to Sunday at Evian Resort Golf Club with a total purse of $9.1 million.

Ranked No. 3 in the world, she is the highest-ranked Korean player. She has two LPGA wins this season and added a victory at the Lotte Open in Incheon on Sunday.

After that win she said, "I got my feel back over the course of the Lotte Open. It gave me confidence that I can play well at the upcoming major."

Other Korean entrants include world No. 7 Ryu Hae-ran and 2019 Evian champion Ko Jin-young.
