Marion Cotillard received a six-minute standing ovation for her performance in the religious cult thriller 'Karma' during its world premiere at the Cannes Film Festival on Friday. The film, directed by Guillaume Canet, marks their sixth collaboration.
The edge-of-your-seat French production premiered in the Special Screenings section. Cotillard stars as Jeanne, a woman with a mysterious past who seeks refuge in a brutal religious cult after her godson goes missing in Spain. She appears opposite Denis Menochet, Luis Zahera and Leonardo Sbaraglia.
