Sechsminütige Standing Ovations für Marion Cotillards 'Karma' in Cannes

Marion Cotillard erhielt am Freitag bei der Weltpremiere des religiösen Sekten-Thrillers 'Karma' auf dem Filmfestival von Cannes sechs Minuten lang Standing Ovations für ihre schauspielerische Leistung. Der Film unter der Regie von Guillaume Canet ist die sechste Zusammenarbeit der beiden.

Die spannungsgeladene französische Produktion feierte ihre Premiere in der Sektion Special Screenings. Cotillard spielt die Hauptrolle der Jeanne, einer Frau mit einer mysteriösen Vergangenheit, die nach dem Verschwinden ihres Patenkindes in Spanien Zuflucht in einer brutalen religiösen Sekte sucht.
