Minnesota man pleads guilty to stabbing pregnant girlfriend

A 27-year-old Minnesota man has pleaded guilty to two counts of second-degree murder in the stabbing deaths of his pregnant girlfriend and her unborn child.

Saleebaan Mohamed Abdirisaaq entered the plea on Friday in connection with the deaths of 24-year-old Falus Ali and her unborn baby. The couple argued on Sept. 23, 2025, at Ali's apartment in St. Cloud, Minnesota. Abdirisaaq used a knife from the dishwasher to stab her multiple times.

Abdirisaaq called 911 after the attack and told dispatchers that someone had died. He said he wanted to turn himself in and asked police to "just come see." Ali was pronounced dead at a hospital, along with the fetus at 17 weeks.

Their 3-year-old child was in the home during the incident but was unharmed. The child later described Abdirisaaq punching Ali. Abdirisaaq is scheduled to be sentenced on Nov. 25.
