The São Paulo Public Ministry requested that DECAP investigate misogynistic comments against Maria Eduarda Rodrigues de Freitas, 21, who died in a rope jump without ropes.
The MPSP request followed a criminal complaint filed by the PSOL Feminist Caucus against X profiles that posted hate content.
Cited comments include phrases such as “party at the IML” and “if you put the pieces together you can have fun”. Prosecutor Ana Maria Aiello Demadis ordered the urgent forwarding of the case to the Capital Judicial Police Department.
The young woman died on June 13 after falling 40 meters from the Ponte do Esqueleto in Limeira. Three instructors were arrested for homicide with eventual intent.
