Police thwart 15.5 kg marijuana distribution at Tanah Abang Station

The Direktorat Reserse Narkoba of Polda Metro Jaya foiled the distribution of 15.507 kilograms of marijuana in the parking area of Tanah Abang Station, Central Jakarta, arresting three men identified as RA (30), TB (25), and AW (33). The arrests stemmed from public tips about suspected drug transactions. Evidence was seized from two separate locations.

Police from the Kanit Unit 1 Subdit 3 Ditresnarkoba of Polda Metro Jaya, led by AKP Arie, conducted an operation in mid-February 2026 following public information about suspected drug transactions in the car parking area of Tanah Abang Station, Central Jakarta.

The team first monitored and mapped the location. After confirming the targets were present, they coordinated with local security before taking action. During the search of the three men, officers found 10 kilograms of marijuana stored in a shoulder bag.

"The arrest of the three men began with information from the public regarding suspected drug transactions in the car parking area of Tanah Abang Station," Arie stated in a release on February 14, 2026.

Further investigation led to a rented house on Jalan H. Nasa Syamsudin, Kedaung, Pamulang, South Tangerang, where officers discovered an additional 5.507 kilograms of marijuana. Thus, the total seized marijuana evidence amounted to 15.507 kilograms.

The three suspects were arrested at two different locations: the parking area of Tanah Abang Station and the rented house in Pamulang. Currently, the suspects and evidence have been taken to the Direktorat Reserse Narkoba of Polda Metro Jaya for further investigation.
