Prime minister abiy ahmed told journalists they must know how to follow their profession and the law. He spoke at a media forum in addis ababa.

Prime minister abiy ahmed addressed a forum held under the theme of media advancement for narrative building.

He recalled steps taken after the 2018 reforms to respect media freedom, release imprisoned journalists, reopen closed outlets, allow banned media and journalists to return, and amend repressive laws.

However, he noted that problems emerged because journalists failed to manage their freedom properly, and some struggled to enter the industry after media was opened.
