Quantic Dream is shutting down its free-to-play MOBA Spellcasters Chronicles after it failed to attract enough players. The studio will reorganize but has confirmed that development of Star Wars Eclipse continues unaffected.
Quantic Dream announced the closure in a statement on May 20. The game launched in early access on Steam in February and peaked at 888 concurrent players before dropping below 100 daily users. Servers will remain online until June 19 2026, after which they will shut down permanently. Players who spent money during early access can request full refunds.
