Älvdalens kyrkbyn pohjoispuolella sijaitseva metsä on hakattu Naturskyddsföreningenin vastustuksesta huolimatta. Vapaaehtoiset kartoittajat olivat löytäneet alueelta 15 luonnonsuojelullisesti arvokasta lajia. Yhdistys aikoo nyt tehdä asiasta ilmoituksen Ruotsin metsäviranomaiselle.
