Sudaryono was officially sworn in as head of the National Nutrition Agency on Wednesday, July 22, 2026, replacing Nanik S Deyang who resigned for health reasons.
Sudaryono's inauguration was conducted directly by President Prabowo Subianto at the State Palace in Jakarta. The appointment was set through Presidential Decree Number 78/P of 2026.
Nanik S Deyang announced her resignation via her personal Facebook account on July 22, 2026. She cited health conditions requiring heart treatment abroad as the main reason.
Nanik had served as Head of BGN since June 8, 2026, after replacing Dadan Hindayana who was dismissed over a corruption case. Sudaryono previously served as Deputy Minister of Agriculture.
