Kaksi käytettyä Bombardier Global 6500 -lentokonetta luovutettiin ilmavoimille seremoniassa F 16 -lennostossa.

Luovutus tapahtui maanantaina Ärnassa. Lentokoneet tunnetaan sotilaallisella nimikkeellä TP 106, ja ne korvaavat vanhemmat Gulfstream-mallit.

Hallituksen 75. lentolaivueen johtaja Olof Stenbergh kutsui päivää suureksi tapahtumaksi ilmavoimille. Koneita operoi Skaraborgin lennosto, ja niiden kotipaikkana toimii Arlanda.

Kaupan hinta oli noin 1,1 miljardia kruunua. Käyttöönottoa pidetään standardointina, sillä ilmavoimien uudet S 106 -tutkavalvontakoneet perustuvat samaan alustaan.
