Ruotsi aloittaa neuvottelut neljästä fregatista

Ruotsi aikoo ostaa neljä fregattia ranskalaiselta Naval Groupilta vahvistaakseen asemaansa Itämerellä. Pääministeri Ulf Kristersson ilmoitti, että neuvottelut hankinnasta alkavat.

Ruotsin puolustusvoimien tavoitteena on vahvistaa läsnäoloaan Itämerellä uusien alusten avulla. Puolustusvoimien komentaja Michael Claesson totesi tehtävänä olevan alueen hallinta.
