A Philadelphia jury is hearing the case against Keith Gibson, 44, who faces charges in the killings of four people including his mother and a Dunkin' manager.
The trial opened this week in Philadelphia County court. Gibson is accused of murdering Roy Caban, Eric Flores, Christine Lugo, and his mother Christine Gibson over several months in 2021.
Prosecutors say Gibson shot Lugo during a robbery at the Dunkin' on West Lehigh Avenue on June 5, 2021, after earlier killings in Philadelphia and Delaware. He was arrested days later following another robbery in Wilmington.
Lugo's daughter, Frances Rodriguez, told reporters she wants the chance to address the court about the impact of the crimes. "I deserve to have my day in court where I get to speak on the impact that his choices made on my life," she said.
The trial was scheduled to resume on Thursday. It remains unclear when jurors will begin deliberations.
