Marco Capaldo drew from references including David Lynch’s Lost Highway while focusing on the clothes themselves. He used superfine pony hide for outerwear, sculptural coats with wool fringe, and new leopard and deer prints on silk chiffon and velvet devoré.
Dramatically draped evening dresses appeared in deep black or scarlet, some with bugle bead and sequin embroidery. Detachable wraps, scarves, and tieable satin tops allowed one piece to suit multiple occasions.
Capaldo balanced sex and intellect in the designs, incorporating cheeky elements such as asymmetrical micro-mini skirts and sheer tops. The collection has appealed to performers including Olivia Dean, Lily Allen, and Dua Lipa.
