24-year-old sentenced to ten years in prison for Örebro explosion

A 24-year-old man from Arboga has been sentenced to ten years in prison following an explosion at a villa in western Örebro on November 26, 2025.

The man was convicted of gross public dangerous destruction for placing and detonating a thermos bomb outside the villa in Mellringe. No one was injured in the explosion.

He was also convicted of gross illegal threat after firing at least one pistol shot at a residential house in northern Örebro in December 2025. Two other men aged 30 and 60 were sentenced for attempted arson at a premises in Örebro the same month.

The 24-year-old was acquitted of charges that he instigated the arson attempt.
