38 new police officers start in Police Region Mitt

Today 38 police students graduate in Police Region Mitt and they begin their posts already on Monday.

On Friday police students graduate across the country. Of them 38 are linked to Police Region Mitt where they receive shoulder straps and diplomas in a formal ceremony.

The addition strengthens the local police areas in Uppsala, Västmanland and Gävleborg counties. Uppsala receives 16 new officers, Västmanland 14 and Gävleborg 8.

– It is an honour to welcome the new police officers to the Police Authority and the fine career choice they have made, says acting head of police region Mitt Christer Birgersson.

He adds that every new employee helps increase the impact of police efforts.
