Family and friends bid farewell to 37-year-old Blanca Adriana Vázquez Montiel, who died after undergoing an abdominal fat reduction procedure at a clinic in Puebla on May 18.
Blanca Adriana went to Clínica Detox in the Zavaleta area accompanied by her husband, Florencio Ramos. During the procedure, staff asked the husband to leave to buy medical supplies and a compression garment. Upon returning, he found the premises closed.
Days later, authorities found a body matching her description in Atltzayanca, Tlaxcala. The Fiscalía is investigating Diana Alejandra Palafox Romero and others linked to the establishment, which is accused of operating without health permits or accredited staff.
Puebla’s Secretary of the Interior, Samuel Aguilar Pala, confirmed the site was shut down. Relatives held a tribute in Puebla before moving the remains to Huauchinango for burial, demanding justice.
