Pinagdiin ng BOC ang mga reporma upang akitin ang mga pamumuhunan mula Korea

Ipinahayag kamakailan ng Bureau of Customs Commissioner Ariel Nepomuceno ang mga nagaganap na reporma sa BOC upang mapadali ang pagnenegosyo sa Pilipinas at akitin ang mga pamumuhunan mula Korea. Dumalo siya sa isang seminar na pinag-uusapan ang mga customs procedures at iba pang regulasyon. Binigyang-diin din ng South Korean Ambassador ang paglakas ng relasyon sa pagitan ng dalawang bansa.

Dumalo si Nepomuceno sa ADB: BOC-Invited Business Support Seminar na inorganisa ng Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency. Doon, ipinakita niya ang mga streamlined customs procedures, digitalization initiatives, at strengthened stakeholder engagement.

Tinalakay din ang mga key areas tulad ng customs clearance, procurement policies, corporate finance, foreign exchange, labor, at taxation regulations. Dumalo ang kinatawan mula sa 33 major Korean companies.

Binigyang-pansin ang matagal nang economic partnership sa pagitan ng Pilipinas at Republic of Korea. Ayon sa Ambassador Lee Sang-Hwa, mahalaga ang paglalim ng trade at investment relations, dahil isa ang South Korea sa pinakamalaking source ng investments sa Pilipinas.

Ipinahayag ni Nepomuceno, “It’s my job to make sure that we will have a good understanding on how we can help each other, how BOC will be your partner, not your problem.” Nangako rin ang BOC na tutulungan ang legitimate trade ng mga Korean companies at sasagutin ang kanilang concerns.
