Border 2, the sequel featuring Sunny Deol and Varun Dhawan, continued its box office journey on its 19th day, Tuesday, with an overall Hindi occupancy of 13.59%. The day's attendance began at 6.28% for morning shows, rose to 11.96% in the afternoon, reached 15.19% in the evening, and peaked at 20.94% for night screenings. This gradual increase suggests stronger viewer turnout in later hours.
Early estimates from trade site Sacnilk show that on day 18, the third Monday, collections dropped sharply to Rs 2 crore, a 72.41% decline from the day before. However, day 19 saw a rebound with Rs 3.29 crore, reflecting a 64.50% growth and renewed audience engagement during the weekday.
Trade analyst Vishek Chauhan commented on social media: "@iamsunnydeol didn’t change. The market did. #border2 crossing ₹300cr+ wasn’t just a sequel win. It was a signal: theatrical taste has completed a cycle."
By this point, the film has amassed over Rs 464 crore globally, highlighting its sustained appeal in theaters.
