Nakapagqualify si Eldrew Yulo sa apat na finals sa 2025 Junior World Artistic Gymnastics Championships, at nagbigay ng payo ang kanyang kuya na si Carlos na mag-focus ngunit mag-enjoy din sa kompetisyon. Nagpakita ng potensyal si Eldrew sa floor exercise, vault, at horizontal bar. Ito ay isang malaking tagumpay para sa pamilya Yulo sa event na ginagawa sa Pasay City.
Sa Marriott Grand Ballroom sa Pasay City noong Huwebes, Nobyembre 20, 2025, nagpakita ng kahanga-hangang pagganap si 17-anyos na si Eldrew Yulo sa qualifications ng 2025 FIG Junior World Artistic Gymnastics Championships. Nakapag-qualify siya sa individual all-around final sa ika-14 na lugar na may total score na 78.332 mula sa 24 finalists. Sa floor exercise, nakuha niya ang ikalawang lugar na may 14.233 points, lamang sa Russian Arsenii Dukhno na may 14.500. Sa vault, ikalima siya na may 13.750 aggregate score mula sa 14.200 sa unang attempt at 13.300 sa pangalawa, bagamat may botched landing. Sa horizontal bar, ika-anim siya na may 13.700 score, naapektuhan ng 0.3 penalty.
Nagbigay ng payo ang 25-anyos na kuya niyang si Carlos Yulo, double Olympic gold medalist mula sa 2024 Paris Games at kamakailang nanalo ng gold sa vault at bronze sa floor sa World Championships sa Jakarta noong Oktubre 2025. "Everybody is tired in the finals. It will be a battle of mental strength. For me, he should focus and think about what he needs to," sabi ni Carlos sa halo ng Filipino at English. "And he should also enjoy. The competition is already hard and stressful so he should enjoy the moment when he is competing."
Dagdag pa ni Carlos, "It is a big thing for him to have this experience, especially this kind of opportunity because it is a big competition. There are a lot of good gymnasts when it comes to the international level. I’m happy with what he is showing."
Si Eldrew naman ay nagsabi, "One of my wishes has been granted, but my job’s still not finished. I will do better [in the finals] and I will give my entire best," sa Filipino. "I said earlier if I could enter the finals, I will give my 100%, or more than 100%."
Susunod na finals: individual all-around noong Sabado, Nobyembre 22; floor exercise noong Linggo; vault at horizontal bar noong Lunes. Kasama rin ang iba pang Pilipino tulad nina King CJay Pernia (106th) at Hillarion Palles III (113th) sa all-around.
