Charli XCX describes mini-break with Madonna in Paris

Charli XCX has spoken about spending time with Madonna during a recent trip to Paris, where the pair attended a fashion show and after-party together.

The two artists were seated next to each other at the Saint Laurent menswear spring/summer 2027 fashion show on June 23. They were later seen chatting and dancing to Madonna’s hits at the after-party.

In an interview with Nick Grimshaw on BBC 6 Music, Charli called the outing a “mini-break.” She said the pair “couldn’t stop hanging out with each other” after being added to a group text a couple of weeks earlier.

Charli added that she found the experience inspiring, noting Madonna’s interest in discussing her music. The pair had faced speculation of tension after Charli released the single ‘Rock Music,’ but the Paris meetings appear to have eased those concerns.

Charli’s album ‘Music, Fashion, Film’ is scheduled for release on July 24, while Madonna’s ‘Confessions II’ is due on July 3.
