Cipinang prison chief comments on drug network bust at B Fashion Hotel

Cipinang Class I Prison chief Wachid Wibowo spoke about the joint raid that uncovered ecstasy and etomidate-laced vape trafficking at B Fashion Hotel and The Seven in West Jakarta.

The operation was a collaboration between the National Police Narcotics Crime Directorate and Cipinang Prison. The raid hit seven locations on 9 May 2026, including karaoke rooms and boarding houses. Several people were detained.

Wachid Wibowo said the bust forms part of the 2026 Action Programs of the Ministry of Immigration and Corrections. He stressed that prison supervision has been tightened with early detection and routine searches. There is zero tolerance for illegal phones or drug trafficking.

Wachid added that any staff involvement will be dealt with strictly under the law. The Jakarta provincial government has revoked the operating permits of both hotels.
