Former First Lady Cecilia Morel attended the ceremony and shared her experience with a grandchild who has Down syndrome. The project aims to enhance psychomotor development and talents for children and families.

This Saturday morning, March 21, on International Down Syndrome Day, the groundbreaking ceremony took place for the multisensory gym at the UC Down Syndrome Center, located on Av. Jaime Guzmán Errázuriz at the Pontifical Catholic University of Chile's Campus Oriente. Former First Lady Cecilia Morel attended and stated: “For me it is very important and has been very significant to be here and share this news that generates a lot of hope, since this space was missing here”. Morel also spoke about one of her younger grandchildren with Down syndrome: “We love him a lot. He lives near me, so he is also very spoiled because he is one of the youngest”.
