Coquimbo U. beat Tolima 3-0 in the Copa Libertadores group stage. Goals came from Manuel Fernández, Cristian Zavala and Nicolás Johansen.
The match took place on May 19 at the Francisco Sánchez Rumoroso stadium in Coquimbo. Manuel Fernández opened the scoring in the 26th minute of the first half. Cristian Zavala doubled the lead just before halftime.
Nicolás Johansen sealed the final result nine minutes into the second half. Coquimbo U. held 35 percent possession and registered 14 shots on target while Tolima had 65 percent possession and eight attempts.
No red cards were issued. Referee Wilton Sampaio cautioned four players. Coquimbo U. will face Nacional on May 26 in Montevideo.
