Counter-Strike 2 player banned for 10 years after punching opponent onstage

A professional Counter-Strike 2 player known as MAUschine has received a 10-year ban from esports events after punching competitor Spidergum in the face during the awards ceremony at the CAGGTUS Leipzig tournament. The incident occurred on April 19, 2026, following MAUschine's loss. Event organizers DACH CS Masters imposed the suspension and reported the matter to the Esports Integrity Commission.

The altercation took place live on stage during the closing awards segment of the livestreamed CAGGTUS Leipzig event. Clips shared on social media captured MAUschine striking Spidergum while players lined up to receive awards. MAUschine was immediately escorted offstage after the punch. Spidergum had earlier shouted “papi chulo,” reportedly MAUschine's catchphrase, after eliminating him in a match during the tournament. DACH CS Masters announced the ban in a statement on X. “We do not tolerate physical assaults against other players at LAN and have acted accordingly,” the organizers said. “MAUschine is banned for at least 10 years and the incident has additionally been reported to Esports Integrity Commission. In case it wasn’t clear, we think violence has no place in our league.” Spidergum responded lightheartedly on X, posting in German: “Sick, experienced everything. B3B Caggtus CS2 winner. Bullseye from Mauschine, better aim than with the AWP and especially on stream.” He indicated he might pursue further action by replying “Yes, you’re right” to a suggestion to report the incident.
