Crypto-backed political action committees spent millions to help defeat longtime U.S. Representative Al Green in a Texas runoff election this week. Fairshake led the effort with $6.5 million in support of Christian Menefee.
Fairshake also backed several Republican candidates in the Texas primaries, including Alex Mealer with $453,000, Tom Sell with $426,000, Carlos De La Cruz with $607,000 and Jon Bonck with $348,000. The Blockchain Leadership Fund endorsed Menefee as well. Fellowship super PAC, linked to Tether and Cantor Fitzgerald, spent $500,000 backing Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton.
