The situation in the National Capital Region (NCR) is equally dire: Ghaziabad's Indirapuram at 394, Vasundhara at 429, Noida's Sector-125 at 414 and Sector-1 at 443, while Gurugram's Sector-51 at 355 and Vikas Sadan at 304. The weather department warned of cold waves and fog in Punjab, Haryana, Delhi, and northern Rajasthan until December 30. Delhi's minimum temperature hovered between 8 and 11 degrees Celsius.
The Delhi airport authority issued an advisory for passengers due to low visibility from dense fog, potentially disrupting road and rail traffic. Fog alerts extend to Assam, Meghalaya, and Odisha until January 1. In Uttarakhand, light snowfall is expected in areas above 3,500 meters on December 30-31, with possible light rain in plains. Temperatures in northern India are forecast to rise gradually in coming days. No changes have been made to GRAP restrictions yet.
