EMC awards scholarships worth ₹22 lakh to 220 students

The Etihad Muslim Community Welfare Society distributed scholarship cheques of ₹10,000 each to 220 students from Class VII to degree level at a recent event in Siripuram.

The annual scholarship programme took place at the VMRDA Children’s Arena in Siripuram. Srikakulam District Joint Collector Farman Ahmed Khan attended as chief guest and praised the society’s efforts in education and welfare.

EMC president Jeelani Hazari noted that the society has supported students from economically weaker sections with annual scholarships since its founding in 2016. The total assistance amounted to ₹22 lakh.

Senior Divisional Personnel Officer Jusef Kabir Ansari of East Coast Railway served as guest of honour. EMC Vice-President Zafar Hosain and Secretary Sheikh Subhani were also present at the event.
