Gazini Ganados discusses Palestinian identity during MGI All Stars interview

Cebuana beauty queen Gazini Ganados became emotional while sharing her Palestinian heritage during preliminary interviews for the Miss Grand International All Stars event on May 26.

During the interview with judge Omar Harfouch, Ganados stated, “I am meant to shine like a star because I was born a Palestinian.” She described carrying her roots with pride while acknowledging the hardships faced by Palestinians.

Ganados wore a Palestinian cloth as part of her outfit, calling it a symbol of strength, courage, and resilience. She also shared that she met her Palestinian father after competing in Miss Universe 2019 and later discovered her siblings.

She noted the challenges of distance, saying she cannot hug, comfort, or send letters and gifts to her family. Ganados expressed that the MGI All Stars platform allows her to represent both her Palestinian and Filipino identities.

Ganados is one of five Filipinas competing in the event, with the coronation scheduled for May 30 in Bangkok, Thailand.
