Reza Arap claimed the Asian Games theme song was entirely his work during a live stream. His former bandmate Gerald Liu refuted this by sharing 2017 production files. Gerald emphasized it was a joint effort.
Jakarta – During the "Marapthon" season 3 live stream, Reza Arap stated the Asian Games theme song was his solo work. "Asian Games gua sendiri. Soundtrack-nya gua," he said while reading viewer comments, quoted Friday (10/4/2026).
Gerald Liu responded on Instagram by reposting the video clip. "Bentar, Asian Games? Kayaknya gue masih punya file-nya deh," he remarked. He displayed archived files from an external hard drive, including a Production folder and "Rap ASEANGAMES Project" dated 2017.
Gerald played the file and affirmed his collaboration with Reza Arap on the track. For the U-20 World Cup theme "Glorious," he noted involvement from the Weird Genius team and JyoHx, evidenced by hundreds of audio tracks.
"Nah kan jelas ya. Pildun Weird Genius, Asian Games gua dan Arap," Gerald said, parodying Reza. Eka Gustiwana of Weird Genius confirmed no involvement in Asian Games but recalled the World Cup process.
Gerald captioned the post: "Lagu lama."
