GTA 6 to feature TikTok-like social network

Grand Theft Auto 6 will include an in-game social network where players watch viral videos, follow influencers and unlock secret side missions through a mobile phone interface.

Details emerged from listings on Amazon's Brazilian store and retailer Kabum. The network parodies short-form video platforms with interactive elements such as follow, heart and comment buttons.

Non-player characters operate on advanced AI that creates organic events across the map. Players can switch control between protagonists Jason and Lucia in real time during missions.

The Vice City setting is described as the most massive and dense map Rockstar has created, featuring neon-lit streets, swamps, beaches and suburbs. Optimisations for PlayStation 5 Pro include improved frame rates and sharper resolutions.

GTA 6 is scheduled for release on November 19 for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series consoles.
