Hadjar responds to potential Monaco GP podium loss

Isack Hadjar has said he would not be overly disappointed if an ongoing appeal changes the 2026 Monaco Grand Prix results and removes his podium finish.

The outcome of the Monaco race remains uncertain after Alpine lodged a Right of Review against Pierre Gasly’s two pitlane speeding penalties. The appeal has cleared an initial step with its claims deemed admissible, though it is not yet known whether the penalties will be overturned.

Gasly was dropped from third to seventh by the penalties, which had placed Hadjar third behind Kimi Antonelli and Lewis Hamilton. A successful review would move Hadjar to fourth and end his second career podium.

Speaking ahead of the Barcelona Grand Prix, Hadjar noted the personal significance of the result. “That would be a shame for my history in Monaco because it would just look good that I signed my contract for Red Bull in Monaco after winning a race and having my first podium for Red Bull in Monaco,” he said.

He added that the only real drawback would be the loss of three points.
