Guerrilla Games has announced a second closed playtest for its PvE co-op spin-off Horizon Hunters Gathering, following the initial February beta. The event, running May 22 to 25 on PS5 and PC (Steam), introduces new hunters, a narrative episode, and an extra region, with improvements based on prior feedback. Registration is open via the PlayStation Beta Program, though spots are limited.
This playtest builds on the first closed beta held in late February 2026, shortly after the game's announcement on February 5. Horizon Hunters Gathering, set in the Horizon universe, features tactical co-op hunts against machines for up to three players (with solo NPC support), replayable modes like Machine Incursion and Cauldron Descent, a rogue-lite perk system, social hub, and ongoing narrative canon to the series.
As shared on the PlayStation Blog, the upcoming session from May 22nd to 25th expands the experience with fresh content to test player feedback further. Access is not guaranteed for all registrants through the PlayStation Beta Program.
