Kamara, nagbabawas sa pagtatanod ng Pilipinas sa Asean IPA

Sa gitna ng matataas na presyo ng langis, nagdedeklara ng austerity measure ang Kamara de Representantes sa pagtatanod ng Pilipinas sa mga pulong ng Association of Southeast Asian Nations Inter-Parliamentary Assembly ngayong taon. Sinabi ni Speaker Faustino Dy III na sumusunod sila sa gabay ng Pangulo sa pagpapatupad ng austerity measures sa AIPA hosting nang hindi binabawasan ang mga layunin nito. Lilimituhan lamang sa General Assembly sa Oktubre at Interface Meeting sa Nobyembre ang mga personal na aktibidad, ayon sa Speaker.

Dagdag pa ni Deputy Speaker at chairperson ng foreign affairs committee na si Maria Rachel Arenas, na namamahala sa organizing committee ng Kamara para sa AIPA, na nagre-recalibrate sila ng mga preparasyon para sa maayos na hybrid format na nakasentro sa dalawang pangunahing personal na event.

Ito ay bahagi ng mga hakbang upang harapin ang epekto ng record-high na presyo ng langis sa mga gasta ng pamahalaan.
