Jalen Ramsey first Steeler on 2026 NFL Top 100 list

Defensive back Jalen Ramsey has become the first Pittsburgh Steeler to appear on the NFL's annual Top 100 list for 2026. As voted on by players, he ranks No. 82. This marks a drop from his No. 66 position in 2025.

Ramsey joined the Steelers in a trade from the Miami Dolphins a little more than a year ago. Pittsburgh sent safety Minkah Fitzpatrick to Miami in exchange for tight end Jonnu Smith, Ramsey, and draft pick swaps.

He switched from outside cornerback to safety during the 2025 season. Ramsey recorded 88 tackles, eight pass breakups, three sacks, and one interception that year. He earned his eighth Pro Bowl selection.

Veteran safety Kevin Byard praised Ramsey's transition. Byard said via NFL Network, "Jalen's always been a special athlete man. I think he's one of the few guys in the league, maybe in league history, to make the seamless transition from Pro Bowl corner to Pro Bowl safety."

Ramsey is expected to split time between safety and slot corner under the new coaching staff. Other Steelers such as T.J. Watt and Cam Heyward are also likely to appear on the list.
