Jason Alexander broke out his wallet and donated $15k to Unchained At Last, the group fighting child marriage that Courtney Stodden champions. His rep confirmed the gift to TMZ after she blasted the crude Funny or Die bit they filmed when she was 17.
Courtney has been vocal about feeling manipulated during the skit, which echoed a Pretty Woman scene and left her triggered years later. She posted on Instagram detailing how Jason rubbed a phone across her chest and joked about taking her behind the couch at 18, noting the contracts were signed by adults and the paycheck went to her then-husband Doug Hutchison.
Jason issued a public apology calling the sketch inappropriate and expressing regret for any distress. Courtney appreciated it but told outlets she would have preferred a private apology and "meaningful action" like backing Unchained At Last and California bill AB 1267.
She is now married to producer Jared Safier and has focused on advocacy since her 2020 divorce from Hutchison.
