Heim's clutch hit came with two outs and the Athletics trailing after squandering an early lead. His contribution set up the decisive bottom-of-the-ninth outburst.
The Athletics had lost their previous game in similar fashion before Heim's heroics. He was acquired from the Braves last month and has now produced multiple late-game tying hits in recent contests.
The victory marked the team's first win following four straight defeats to the Giants.
