Lacson ipinagtanggol ang ulat sa imbestigasyon ng baha control

Sa kanyang privilege speech noong Martes, Mayo 5, 2026, ipinagtanggol ni Lacson ang paglathala ng partial committee report na ipinasa sa mga miyembro ilang buwan na ang nakalipas. “While the partial committee report circulated to the committee members nearly three months ago remains pending for sponsorship, I cannot ignore the public’s urgent demand for transparency regarding the flood control scandal,” ani Lacson.

Batay ito sa mga hearings na nagsimula pa noong Agosto 19, 2025. Pumirma sa ulat sina Senate President Vicente Sotto III, Raffy Tulfo, Erwin Tulfo, Bam Aquino, Kiko Pangilinan, at Risa Hontiveros. Kailangan ng siyam na pirma para sa filing at sponsorship.

Bagamat pumirma, nagpahayag ng reservations si Senator Raffy Tulfo. “Cannot, in good conscience, agree with the recommendation that narrows the scope of further investigation to a handful of our colleagues in this chamber,” sabi niya. Iginiit niya na dapat ding imbestigahan ang iba pang contractors at miyembro ng House of Representatives.

Inilarawan sa ulat ang systemic corruption scheme na kinabibilangan ng ghost at substandard works, kickbacks, at collusion sa mga proyektong flood control. Itinutulak din nito ang mga reporma tulad ng mas mahigpit na procurement rules at whistleblower protection. “Hindi po ito isang hatol,” ani Lacson.
