McLaren team principal Andrea Stella believes Ferrari and Red Bull hold an edge for the potentially rainy Canadian Grand Prix after completing Pirelli wet-weather development runs earlier this year.
Stella noted that the teams' testing provides useful data on power unit behavior and tire performance in conditions not yet seen during race weekends this season. Data from these sessions is shared among all competitors, but only Ferrari and Red Bull chose wet running during the January Barcelona shakedown.
